As the departure day draws nearer, i've been feeling apprehensive...
-i had been preoccupied with other matters and had not mapped out my itinerary in details.
-The accounts from people who had been there had warned of ferocious dogs that have no qulams attacking strangers, treacherous roads and the danger of falling into the furious waters of the River Nu (怒江) which literally translates to Furious River.
-The recent snow storm in China had also seemed to adversely affect that area which was in the first place poorly developed and according to internet reports, electrical supply had been so severely damaged that the authorities said it would take at least 2 months to restore.
-i had ordered an ultrasonic dog repeller from the web in the hope of warding off the ferocious dogs but it's obvious now it would not arrive in time for my trip.It doesn't help that i just read a comment that there are more dogs in Nujiang than human beings....
So, for quite a while i was a little apprehensive about the trip, in fact, fear crept into me.
And then i hear the LORD said : O you of little faith!!
And i was ashamed, ashamed of my faithlessness.
Pastor P once mentioned: the LORD said 'Do not fear' 365 times in the bible, signalling to us that for each day throughout the year, HE does not want us to fear, for The LORD is with us!
Had not the LORD carried me safely through ALL my journeys all these years under His mighty wings? Had i not always wandered, got lost and was lead home by Him again? Had He not always blessed me with wonderful memories of ALL my trips?
Last Sunday, Pastor M preached a verse from Zephaniah--a book which i've never read before :P.

Last Sunday, Pastor M preached a verse from Zephaniah--a book which i've never read before :P.
So, 2 nights ago, i opened the book and found not only the verse but the message The LORD has for me:
"Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O Daughter of Jerusalem!
The LORD has taken away your judgements. He has cast out your enemy.
The King of Israel, the LORD is in your midst;
You shall see disaster no more.
In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem:
"Do not fear; Zion,
let not your hands be weak.
The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing"
[Zephaniah 3:14-17]
Hallelujah! i repent LORD, i'll leave this trip in your hands, and i thank you you'll put me at the right places at the right time, that i'll see you rejoicing over me with gladness and hear you rejoicing over me with singing!!
